Contributions of the RNCOM to the RCM
Since its inception in 1996, the Regional Conference on Migration (RCM), also known as the Puebla Process, has recognized the importance of civil society in its activities. Several Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), through the Regional Network of Civil Organizations on Migration (RNCOM), have participated in the vents of the Puebla Process including seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Furthermore, the NGOs have worked with the RCM in pursuing the goals of the Plan of Action. At every Vice-Ministerial Meeting, the NGOs have issued a parallel Joint Communique, contributing with ideas and proposing solutions to topics discussed within the RCM.
